Privacy Policy
Baregrit Inc., which operates ChartIQ (the "Company"), takes your privacy seriously and complies with applicable data protection laws, including the Korean Personal Information Protection Act. This policy explains what we collect and why, where and how long we keep it, and how we destroy it.
1. Information We Collect and How
When you sign up (received from your sign-in provider)
- The email, display name, profile image and unique identifier provided by Google, Apple or Kakao
When you use the Service (generated or collected automatically in the app and on the web)
- Quiz activity (symbol, prediction, result, score), learning statistics and achievements
- Community posts, comments, likes and uploaded images
- Device information (OS, app version, language) and a push token if you allow notifications
- Error details when the app fails (error message and location, page path, device, browser and OS type, app version)
- Access logs and usage analytics (see section 8)
When you subscribe
- Store subscription status and receipt identifiers. We never receive card numbers or other payment details.
We do not collect personal information from children under 14.
2. How We Use It
- Identifying you and keeping you signed in
- Providing quizzes, analysis, learning content and the community
- Verifying Pro subscription status and providing support
- Product analytics to improve the Service
- Detecting and fixing app errors
- Sending reminders and other notifications you have opted into
- Preventing abuse and running the community
3. Retention
- Account data and activity are deleted without delay when you delete your account, including records migrated from the previous (v1) app.
- To answer billing and refund questions, we keep only a minimal deletion record (internal identifier, sign-in method, payment/subscription identifier, whether the account had Pro, and the deletion time) for 30 days and then purge it.
Information the law requires us to keep is retained for these periods:
- Records of contracts, withdrawals and payments: 5 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)
- Records of consumer complaints and disputes: 3 years (same Act)
- Access logs: 3 months (Protection of Communications Secrets Act)
4. Destruction
Personal information is destroyed without delay once its retention period ends or its purpose is fulfilled. Electronic files are deleted so they cannot be recovered; we keep no personal information on paper. Information kept under the law is stored separately from other data and destroyed the same way when its period ends.
5. Sharing With Third Parties
We do not share your personal information with third parties, except where required by law. In-app purchases are processed by Apple and Google under their own store policies.
6. Processors
We rely on the following providers to operate the Service:
- Supabase Inc.: database, sign-in and file storage
- Vercel Inc.: web hosting and visit analytics
- Mixpanel, Inc.: usage analytics
- RevenueCat, Inc.: subscription management
- Google LLC (Firebase Cloud Messaging): push notifications
- Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry): app error reporting
7. Transfers Abroad
Some processors are based outside Korea, so we transfer personal information abroad to the extent needed to provide the Service (performance of our contract with you). Every transfer happens while you use the Service, over encrypted connections (HTTPS). You can stop the processing by deleting your account, but you will then no longer be able to use the Service.
- Supabase Inc. (USA; data stored in the Seoul, Korea region): the account, activity and community information in section 1, kept until you delete your account.
- Vercel Inc. (USA; processed in the Seoul region and on Vercel's delivery network): account identifiers and access logs while requests are handled, and anonymous visit statistics. Access logs are kept for up to 3 months.
- Mixpanel, Inc. (USA): internal member identifier, nickname, language, device type, Pro status, level, sign-up date and in-app activity, kept until deleted on request after you delete your account.
- RevenueCat, Inc. (USA): member identifier, subscription product and status, and store receipt identifiers, kept for 5 years as required by law.
- Google LLC (USA): push tokens and notification content, deleted when you turn notifications off or delete your account.
- Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) (USA): error details when the app fails (error message and location, page path, device, browser and OS type, app version). Member identifiers and IP addresses are neither sent nor stored. Deleted automatically after at most 90 days.
You can reach each provider through the privacy contact on its website, or ask us and we will point you there.
8. Automatic Collection and How to Opt Out
- The app and website store an anonymous identifier on your device for usage analytics (Mixpanel) and link it to your member identifier once you sign in.
- Vercel Analytics counts page visits anonymously, without cookies.
- Sign-in credentials are kept in device storage to keep you signed in.
- If you do not want usage analytics, turn off Settings > Privacy > "Share usage statistics" in the app. Collection stops on this device from then on (app error reports included), and on your other devices too when you are signed in. To delete what was already collected, email chartiq.app@gmail.com. We also honor your browser's Do Not Track setting.
9. Security Measures
- All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Row-level security in the database lets each member reach only their own data, and operator access is limited to the people who need it.
- Secret keys and access rights are managed separately, and administrator actions are logged.
- We store no payment details and process account deletion requests without delay.
10. Your Rights
You (or your legal representative) can access, correct or delete your personal information, or ask us to stop processing it, at any time through the account menu in settings or by emailing chartiq.app@gmail.com; we act without delay. See Account deletion for the steps, how to request deletion without the app, and what is deleted or kept.

12. Our YouTube Channels
We use YouTube API Services to publish one chart-quiz video a day on ChartIQ's own YouTube channels (Korean and English). This feature only uploads videos we make from our own data to channels we own, checks whether they were published and, once a video is public, posts one comment from our channel under it with the chart's details (symbol, timeframe, period). It does not access, collect or store the account or channel information of members or any other YouTube user, and the app has no way to connect a member's YouTube account.
Use of YouTube channels and videos is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and information Google processes on YouTube is handled under the Google Privacy Policy.
13. Changes
We announce changes in the app at least 7 days before they take effect, and at least 30 days before for changes that are unfavorable to you.
This policy takes effect on November 2, 2026. (Previous version: effective October 18, 2026)
